On the 4-5th of February 2019, Active Youth Association together with partners from Iceland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Latvia and Norway have gathered in Vilnius, Lithuania for the first and very important projects kick-off meeting.
Project called “Migrant Talent Garden” is the initiative funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway grants fund for youth employment.
Project aims to gather young migrants, non-governmental organisations & business angels who will work together to help migrants and boost their competencies needed to develop their business ideas and get self employed.
Based on the project goals the main idea of this international partners meeting was to set a clear strategy and a structure for successful project implementation. Moreover, project team have a vast experience in both migrant & business support fields. Therefore, consortium seeks to gather all young migrants that would be motivated to set their own paths of carrier and join this multinational entrepreneurship support programme.
Aside from the internal workshops and projects activity planning partners also had a chance to know more about local Lithuanian culture and already existing local business and migrant support opportunities and environment.
All project partners are very motivated to continue their work and create a significant changes in the field of migrant support.
